What in the World You Did Today Honey?

Thursday, January 25th, 2007
One afternoon a man came home from work to find total mayhem in his house.

His three children were outside, still in their pajamas, playing in the mud with empty food boxes and wrappers strewn all around the front yard. The door of his wife’s car was open, as was the front door to the house.

Proceeding into the entry, he found an even bigger mess. A lamp had been knocked over, and the throw rug was wadded against one wall. In the front room the TV was loudly blaring a cartoon channel, and the family room was strewn with toys and various items of clothing. In the kitchen, dishes filled the sink, breakfast food was spilled on the counter, cat food was spilled on the floor, a broken glass lay under the table, and a small pile of sand was spread by the back door.

He quickly headed up the stairs, stepping over toys and more piles of clothes, looking for his wife. He was worried she may be ill, or that something serious had happened.

He found her lounging in the bedroom, still curled in the bed in her pajamas, reading a novel. She looked up at him, smiled, and asked how his day went.

He looked at her bewildered and asked, "What happened here today?"

She again smiled and answered, "You know every day when you come home from work and ask me what in the world I did today?"

"Yes" was his incredulous reply.

She answered, "Well, today I didn’t do it."

Desert_1 The following images are some of my collections of views around the world emailed to me from some of my friends or I got it from some of my favorite websites.  I just want to share it to you guys, you may find it lovely as I did.

One of the reasons why I posted it here is to remind everybody that all of these beautiful things and places you see in the world will be nothing when compared to the beauty of Paradise that the Almighty Allah reserved for the Faithfuls.

So if you think that these places look nice and amazing, then imagine when these lovely things will be multiplied into 70 times and then multiplied again into another 70 times and so on, what do you think? How will it looks like?  It’s beyond imagination! I hope and pray that Allah will grant me and all of us the Paradise Insha Allah. Aameen…

The Plants in my Office Room

Tuesday, January 16th, 2007

As I was sitting in my desk this morning while drinking my hot tea, I happened to look around the four corners of my office room, then I noticed that there are many different plants surrounds me. There were seven of them in my room only!  The eighth was a plastic flower. I don’t know why the first thing that came into my mind was to take a picture for each of them, maybe because they looked very lovely in my sight.  Anyway, here are some of the pictures that I captured this morning:

Pic_0162The first picture was the plant near in my window and its height is about 1.5 meters tall. It is my favorite among them all. It was added in my room since one year ago.  According to one of our maintenance staff, the company bought it for Kd 12.000 which is equivalent to Php 2,000 in Philipines.

This second picture was the plant placed beside my file cabinet.  It was added in my room one month ago and it is one of the most famous and noticebale one. Everyone who saw it said that it was very lovely. It has 1.5 feet tall and I don’t know how much its cost.

The third picture was a plastic one, I just included it in this post since I found it very attractive.  As shown, it was placed behind my printer and fax machine.  It was added in my room since 2 years ago. The flowers are really lovely and it looks real, sometimes it made my guest asked if it was plastic or real and I just answered touch it! It made my office room very feminine too.

Pic_0166The plant in this 4th picture really made me laugh when they placed it in my room few days ago.  I asked the driver where did they got this plant and he said they bought it, I asked him how much the cost and he told me it was Kd 3.500 which is equivalent to Php 592.00 in Philippines! LOL :) He asked me why I was laughing, then I told him that this plant has no cost in Philippines, we can find it everywhere. He said it was from Holland!  Then, our GM arrived and said "WOW what a lovely plants!" that made me laughed even more (deep inside only because I don’t want to upset him, I might be fired! LOL :) . While watching it this morning, it reminded me of my mother’s lovely plants way back home in Philippines, she has many collections of these plants and far more beautiful than the one in the picture.

This last picture was the one placed above my file cabinet as shown, it was added in my room since 3 years ago and it grows very quickly, I cut some of its stems every 2 months.  These plant can live both in water and soil that’s why I placed some of the stems I cut in vase full of water and it grows easily, tiny roots will appear after few days.

Potpourri

Tuesday, January 9th, 2007

PotpouriI just want to share one of the things that am interested to do at home being a woman, that is collection of potpourris. I’ve been interested in this stuff since several years ago and I always have it in my room, in the leaving room, in my office room and in my desk as well. I like the scents, the looks and everything about it.  The picture above was my favorite one at home, not only the scents but the sentimental value on it that worth keeping for. Some of the petals in that potpouri was given to me by my hubby 3 years ago, and the other half was the petals of the red rosses that he had given to me on our last anniversary. I never throw the flowers that I had, I waited for it to dry and and put it in a vase or any container, when the scents were almost gone, I sprayed oil perfumes on it.  This is also great in bedrooms with scented candles for a romantic evening.  Potpourri last for several years especially if it is being kept in a nice way, just spray oil perfumes on it when the natural scents are gone so that you can feel and experience the romantic scene it can give you.

The Candles!

Sunday, January 7th, 2007

CandlelightEversince I bought these candles and put it in our dining table, I was always disturbed by my little Azhfaar to lit it everytime he took a glance on it.  What he likes most on it was blowing the light until it dies and requested me to kindle it again so that he can blow for the second time and so on.  This event happened every day and night since I bought it on the 1st day of Eid. Sometimes it made me think why he likes the candles so much…was it just mere blowing the light on it or it’s just because he really likes light.  While I was with him during that moment, it made my mind delve into many things, sometimes I thought that he wanted to blow the candles because he hate fires and thus he wanted to put it off. Sometimes I was thinking that maybe he asked me to kindle it again everytime he blew it because he don’t want darkness and he wanted to see the light again. Lots of things were coming into my mind. I asked him to touch it because I wanted to know what will be his reaction and he refused, it means that he knew the danger behind those lights.

Sometimes he was very difficult to be fed, it’s normal for toddlers in his age but everytime I lit the candles, he will eat anything I put in his plate, he will drink his milk in his cup and not in a bottle and he will obey whatever I told him to do so.

How I wish that his likings for this candle will have a good impact in his life Insha Allah. By the way, we did not left him unatended with this things. He was always supervised.
